It's not why we do what we do, but there really is nothing like that feeling of someone taking part of their day, and letting you know that you were thought of and appreciated. We wish we could send one of these messages to each of the women in our community, but since that's not exactly an option, we wanted to share the things we see each day that inspire us about the women we are so fortunate to interact with through our work with Togetherness:
You are resilient.
You are growing.
You love fiercely.
You are compassionate.
You are strong.
You are faithful.
You are adaptable.
You are enough. In every single way. And you're seeing that and treating yourself accordingly as you do.
You touch lives for good.
You are protective of your families and of your Togetherness sisters.
You struggle, but never stop.
You are strong willed. (And opinionated.) ;-) Even if it makes it harder to admin our online communities sometimes, we love the heck out of your strength and determination. :-) We would never change that about you.
You are passionate about helping others.
You are dedicated to fighting for your family and our culture.
You are kind and soft. You are bold and tough.
You reach outside of yourself, even when your world is closing in on you. You are so amazingly brave.
You have so much fight in you -- even when beat down, you refuse to surrender. You reach down and help each other when one of us feels like we're at that 'surrender' place. You bravely reach up when you're in need of rescue.
You are real and vulnerable, even though it's hard and hurts and sometimes backfires. But you reap the rewards of honest and real friendships.
You just want to make the world a better place. You want to protect women from suffering -- even when you can't. You're learning that you can't sometimes, and you're adjusting how you support each other through each interaction.
You are willing to learn and change and grow.
You are working SO hard.
You are growing. We see it. Sometimes you feel stuck. Sometimes you may be stuck. But you've put yourself on a path, surrounded by others walking it, that keeps you accountable and progressing.
You sacrifice for your family and loved ones -- but you're also working so hard to figure out that balance with self care and self compassion.
I know that you would walk through hot coals for one another. We now kind of wish we'd added a fire walking class to our Conference lineup this Fall ;-)
You are truly remarkable women. We see it and we feel it, and we are in awe of you.
Your lives are complex, and different from one another, but you find the commonalities and connect through them, and you learn from one another's differences.
We are inspired by you. Honestly and truly inspired.
Together we rise.
